Agencia Española de Cooperación Interncional para el Desarollo (AECID)

Agencia Española de Cooperación Interncional para el Desarollo (AECID) is an agency under the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs specialized in funding projects that promote poverty reduction and humanitarian assistance in the developing world.

AECID was established in 1998 and channels a large portion of its funding through the bi-annual Convocatoria Abierte y Permanente (CAP). Through this funding mechanism, AECID has supported various DCA projects including Food Security in South Sudan and Humanitarian Mine Action in Burma/Myanmar, DR Congo and Lebanon.
