DanChurchAid, won a film competition, organized by International Institute for Climate and Development( IIED), in Durban. The competition is organized every year and climate related films from the whole world take part.

The award was received at the UN climate change conference in Durban, South Africa.

The film has a humorous approach to the serious consequences of climate change in Bangladesh. It shows the people living with the effects of climate change, but as people, not victims.

Ripples is filmed among some of the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh, who, due to climate change increasingly face flooding, storms and cyclones.

The film shows how local people prepare themselves to manage the next cathastrophy by organizing and sharing responsabilities within the community. RDRS work in the field, with financial support from the EU, via DCA.

The film is made by DCA; film producer Søren Vestergaard Nielsen, journalist Lene Ejg Jarbøl and journalist Anne Mette Futtrup.
