Farmers in Cambodias Kompong Speu province are working to make their villages more resilient to the recurring natural disasters, such as drought or floods, hitting the area as a result of changes in the climate. Meet them in our audioslideshows and videos.

Cambodias poorest provinces are often hit by disasters such as drought or floods.
The disasters ruins the harvest and the livelihoods of the poor small-hold farmers in the provinces.
The climate changes have already resulted in dramatic changes of the everyday lives of cambodian farmers, who are struggling to get food on the table.

But 24.000 cambodian villagers have taken action and started preparing themselves for the recurring natural disasters.
Together, they've constructed canals, dams, wells and ricebanks, making them better prepared for the next natural disaster
The rice bank and well construction projects are implementet by DanChurchAid's partner Lutheran World Federation Cambodia, supported by DIPECHO, a programme
covering disaster preparedness and risk reduction in high risk areas, under the European Commission Humanitarian Aid department
