Guide to Copenhagen during COP 15

07.12.2009: The climate summit may be invite only - But Copenhagen is alive with climate related activities during COP 15. Join DanChurchAids many activities in Copenhagen - We reccomend a number of public access events in Copenhagen during the climate summit.

From the 7-18th of December, Climate Forum will be open for the public with debates, exhibitions and cultural happenings. Take the chance to meet some of the people from poor countries experiencing climate change first hand.

Demonstration "Planet first - People first"

Join the family friendly and peaceful demonstration for a fair and serious climate deal. We start at vor Frue Plads at 12.30.

Tutu hands over signatures

Desmond Tutu hands over 250.000 signatures from the international campaign Countdown to Copenhagen to Yvo de Boer from the UN.
Afterwards, there will be a free concert at the Danish town hall square

Ecumenical service at Vor Frue church and bell rining

Copenhagens Cathedral will be full of church leaders, political leaders, NGO representatives and even royalty, when the archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, delivers his sermon.

After the sermon, Churches all over the world will ring their bells 350 times for a fair climate deal.
