Safe at last

The Humanitarian Response Unit of DanChurchAid met with beneficiaries of combined DCA/RDRS activities during a workshop in Northern Bangladesh
ShohibaAfzal (39) is a member of the Village Disaster Management Committee in Northern Bangladesh.
Amother of five, she joined the VDMC because her house has been eroded away fourtimes and every time she has been displaced.
Nowher house is build on plinth and the water can come but will not wash away her.It was RDRS and the group who helped her built the plinth. Next time the floodcomes she will be safe and her family will be safe.
Sheis no longer afraid of the water, she says.
