Local communities and Bedouins suffer from water scarcity, especially during the summer period from May to November.

The Bedouins live off their livestock so they are not only dependent on achieving safe water for their household, but also on providing water for their animals.

In the project, DanChurchAid cooperates closely with the East Jerusalem Young Men’s Christian Association (EJ YMCA).

The project is mainly targeted at benefiting Bedouins and Shepherds, unemployed, Women, Children, and the local communities in the Eastern Bethlehem district

It provides safe water to households and livestock, and training in water sanitation and hygiene for women and children.
