Thanks to the donation of Europaid of EUR 1,060,000.00 DanChurchAid can cooperate with the Lutheran World Federation and Strømme Foundation to reduce poverty and hunger in Southern Sudan, by improving the management of the natural resources and the environment.

It is a project that involves 15,500 people from local authorities, public and civil organizations, institutions, church groups and a representative from households affected by environmental degradation/floods.

The project benefits the most vulnerable groups including 211,000 people, in particular those living in flood prone areas, people living under the effects of deforestation and the groups affected by unplanned urbanization.
