EuropeAid has donated DanChurchAid EUR 533,000 to expand and strengthen the civil society in Myanmar, e.g. to strengthen efforts of community organizations to find ways for development and poverty reduction.

DanChurchAid cooperates with Loka Ahlinn (LA), and the areas of work are the Cities of Yangon, Magwe and Mandalay.

The project benefits the 600 MCOP and ESS students (300 per year), 1200 participants in capacity-building activities (600 per year), 900 members/representatives of local CBOs, 30 local CBOs benefits from the grants schemes that will operate in each of the training centers and approximately 100 persons comprising the 10 core leadership and management positions of LA plus the approximately 90 administrative and project staff of LA.
