EuropeAid has donated DanChurchAid EUR 560.500 to protect the rights of 150,000 migrants from India going to the Gulf, and 3.2 million Indian migrants in the Gulf.

  • dotImproved capacity of civil society, 20 CSOs and media houses in India and the Gulf States to protect and advocate for the rights of migrants
  • dotImproved capacity of CSOs, including trade unions, in the areas of case management, counselling and legal aid
  • dotWorkshops, press releases and press conferences to inform the media of recent developments in the five countries. 

EuropeAid has donated DanChurchAid EUR 560.500 to protect the rights of the migrants, in particular from trafficking and exploitation, with focus on migrants from countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Philippines directed towards Gulf countries.

The groups involved are 20 NSA and their personnel and 50 government officials in the selected countries.

The project benefits 150,000 migrants from India going to the Gulf, and 3.2 million Indian migrants in the Gulf.

The areas of work are selected Indian districts in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh as well as Oman in the Gulf countries.
