”Women's rights are highly prioritized in all aspects of DanChurchAid’s work. I look forward to the cooperation and expect a lot from it,” says General Secretary Henrik Stubkjær after being appointed to Ulla Tørnæs’ gender network.
"It is a well-known fact that investing in the women in the development countries is not only reasonable – but also profitable," says Henrik Stubkjær.
Minister for Development Cooperation Ms. Ulla Tørnæs has presented the MDG3 Global Call to Action campaign , which will put women’s equal rights on the agenda – and keep them there.
Eight women and two men are meant to help Ulla Tørnæs reach the target.
DanChurchAid's General Secretary Henrik Stubkjær feels well prepared for the task: ”It is an advantage to us that the secretariat of Gendernet (an NGO net on gender and development) is located at DanChurchAid – as I expect a very close cooperation with them,” says Henrik Stubkjær.
