DanChuchAid and Nordic Council of Ministers cooperates in building the capacity of NGOs in the Baltic Region, specifically by supporting non-governmental organizations in Russia. Nordic Council of Ministers supports a range of programmes in the region, thus facilitating co-operation between the Nordic countries and their neighbours.

Ongoing activities in 2008 include efforts to improve the way young offenders are treated in the legal system. Presently, the procedures are the same for young offenders as for everyone else, making the situation difficult for this particular group..
