The role of foreign investments in relation to development and the fight against poverty has been emphasised at numerous international meetings during the last years.
At the same time the debate about Corporate Social Responsibility has increased.

DCA conference on 23 February 2006 highlighted the relation between CSR, poverty and hunger, and brought new experiences and recommendations into the CSR debate.
At the conference, the report Fighting hunger with investments , produced by DanChurchAid in cooperation with several Danish firms with investments in India, was presented.
The experiences from India was used as input to the more general debate about investments and development.
