World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, 1 December is an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV and AIDS. DanChurchAid marks World AIDS Day by focusing on the AIDS pandemic, the young people and the role of the church in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
The global AIDS epidemic continues to grow. An estimated 39.5 million people worldwide are living with HIV. An estimated 4.3 million became newly infected with HIV in 2005. An estimated 2.9 million lost their lives to AIDS in 2005.
On 1 December,
