Assistance to IDPs and refugees

DanChurchAid advocates standards in emergency situations with respect to nutrition, shelter, food supply, water and sanitation and health conditions that are acceptable compared to internationally acknowledged standards.

Efforts must also take into account the different needs and resources of men and women in conflicts, disaster and refugee situations. DanChurchAid is focusing on the active participation of these target groups in decision-making processes that affect their lives.

Preparing refugees for a sustainable future

DanChurchAid also advocates that refugees be given the possibilities of employment or education in order that they may utilise their time as internally displaced or refugees as efficiently as possible by preparing themselves for a sustainable future.
