Mine action

Through the Humanitarian Mine Action Programme , DanChurchAid focuses on the province Moxico in eastern Angola. 30% of all areas in Angola who have been labelled high impact areas are in Moxico province. The Mine Action team has focused on developing Mine Risk Education teams both as an immediate resource for the refugees who has recently returned to Angola and in support of their ongoing resettlement. Manual demining teams clears high risk areas to benefit the local population so they are able to settle, fetch water and work in their fields without the risk of mines and unexploded ammunition. Donors are Danida and FinnChurchAid .
