The Ethiopian Muslims’ Relief and Development Association (EMRDA) is an indigenous faith based NGO established in 1994 and legally registered with the Ministry of Justice with the objective of preventing abject poverty and unemployment through participation and sustainable integrated rural development.
The Ethiopian Muslims’ Relief and Development Association (EMRDA) has been engaged in promoting basic formal and non-formal education, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS training, vocational and skill trainings, food security and civic education.
EMRDA works on Wollo, Amhara Region, Arsi, Oromia region and Afar Region.
EMRDA is a faith based organisations and contributes to the fight against HIV through its contacts to Muslim target groups and through building up support systems among the Muslim communities that will help to reduce stigma.
