Multimedia - Prepared for the next disaster

20/06/2008: Farmers in Cambodias Kompong Speu province are working to make their villages more resilient to the recurring natural disasters, such as drought or floods, hitting the area as a result of changes in the climate. See the video about clean drinking water and audioslideshow about a ricebank here.


10 years ago, people in Cambodian villages bathed and got their drinking water from rivers or muddy puddles. Construction of wells has improved both sanitation and health for the poorest families in the Cambodian countryside.
