CWCC

The Cambodian Women's Crisis Center (CWCC) is a local non-governmental organization founded in early 1997. It was created by a group of women who recognized the severe levels of violence being perpetrated against women and children in Cambodia and the lack of services to assist them. CWCC’s mission is to eliminate all forms of violence against women (VAW) while providing services to victims of gender-based abuse and their children. CWCC encourages women to help themselves through providing crisis intervention services. CWCC also aims to reduce violence against women through training, media campaigns, community organization and legal advocacy. With a central office in Phnom Penh, CWCC runs shelters for women in need in three provinces. CWCC has been a DanChurchAid partner since 1997.

CEDAW

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), adopted in 1979 by the UN General Assembly, is often described as an international bill of rights for women. Consisting of a preamble and 30 articles, it defines what constitutes discrimination against women and sets up an agenda for national action to end such discrimination. The Cambodian CEDAW Committee organizes trainings and other activities for authorities and staff of member NGOs and facilitates the writing of a shadow report on the status of the implementation of the convention in Cambodia. DanChurchAid partner since 1998.

TPO

TPO - Transcultural Psychosocial Organisation works to contribute to the development of Psychosocial and Mental Health Care in Cambodia within a local cultural context.

Ponleur Kumar

Ponleur Kumar works with care and counseling for girls vulnerable for abuse and trafficking. At community level, Ponleur Kumar advocates for equal access to education for girls as well as awareness raising of children's rights. DanChurchAid partner since 2003 and part of Operation Days Work project.

Licadho

Since 1992, Cambodian League for the Promotion and Defence of Human Rights (Licadho) has been at the forefront of efforts to protect human rights in Cambodia and to promote respect for civil and political rights by the Cambodian government and institutions. Licadho has been a DanChurchAid partner since 2002.

CDP

Cambodian Defenders Project (CDP) is the largest group of legal aid lawyers in Cambodia working to assist the poor and vulnerable and to develop the legal system. CDPs Centre against Trafficking provides legal aid to victims of trafficking and training to local police authorities in relation to trafficking cases. DCA partner since 2003.

ADHOC

Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association (ADHOC) is a strong local Cambodian Human Rights organisation, focusing on civic, political and social rights. ADHOC provides training to communities and authorities and documentation on human rights and other violations through its offices located in all of Cambodia's provinces. ADHOC's Women Section documents human rights violations in relation to domestic violence, trafficking and rape as well as carry out research and advocacy. DanChurchAid partner since 1997.
