Flooding in South Asia

07/09/2007: Some of the largest floods ever have hit parts of India, Bangladesh and Nepal. Across South Asia, DanChurchAid has been providing essential water equipment and temporary shelters for people who have lost their homes to flooding.


More than 35 million people have been affected by the massive monsoon rain in South Asia.

India, Bangladesh and Nepal are among the countries that have been hit the hardest by the subsequent massive floods.

Floods leave millions homeless

In some of the areas, the amount of rain is equivalent to, what they usually get over a period of two years. The massive monsoon rains have rendered millions of people homeless and have resulted in thousands of deaths.
