Partners and activities

Working in partnership ensures that emergency and development programmes effectively target the poorest and that activities become locally sustainable. DanChurchAid's role in Nepal will continue to be determined by the partnership with LWS-Nepal.

Local partner in Nepal:

LWS-Nepal

LWS-Nepal was established in 1984 as the Nepal Field Programme of LWF/World Service. Only a few development NGOs are currently active in the far western region of Nepal, which is the prime working area for LWS-Nepal. Food Security is the main programme type; however, there are very strong elements of the programme type of Political Space built into the programme. Disaster Preparedness is a component of the LWF-Nepal Development Programme as well as pursued through the regional network AZEECON of which LWF-Nepal has been the Lead NGO.
