Strengthening local NGOs

16/05/2006: A large part of DanChurchAid's work also focuses on strengthening local NGOs by teaching administrative skills and promoting democratic leadership as well as guidance in dealing with the authorities.

DanChurchAid has worked in Kazakhstan since 1996. The widespread poverty in the country has been underlined by the fragile civil society and repressive authorities.

Long-term development

The projects that we support in Kazakhstan are focussing on long-term development of the civil society. They attach importance to building representative NGOs in social areas and strengthening their advocacy work.

Rights and social benefits

DanChurchAid also works together with NGOs who take care of the most vulnerable in society by helping them gain access to social rights and basic social benefits.
