Commited to promote rights and gender equality

DanChurchAid works with two cross cutting policies in all our programmes; rights-based commitment and gender equality commitment.

Commitment to uphold the rights of the poor and opressed and promote gender equality stems from the organisation's identity and core values.

Rights-based focus:

  • Interests and rights of the most marginalised and discriminated rightsholders addressed
  • Political and legal empowerment of rights-holders
  • Advocacy and capacity-building of duty-bearers
  • Legal enforcement and access to justice and remedies
  • Meaningful participation and influence of rights-holders and partners in projects and programmes
  • Organisational policies and procedures are non-discriminatory and respectful of rights.
