The poor countries have the smallest share in the responsibility for the climate changes, but they are hit hardest by drought, floods and hurricanes.

Countdown to Copenhagen works for a global climate protocol that curbs the consequences of climate change, while protecting the rights to social and economical development in the poorest countries. A deal at COP 15 must heed the 2015 goals of erradicating hunger and extreme poverty.

Save the Kyoto Protocol

DanChurchAid and its European sister organizations feel that the Kyoto Protocol should be extended for a new period, which establishes how much the wealthy nations should decrease their CO2 emissions starting in 2012.
