The emergency relief is transportet to the final destination on trucks, tractors and helicopters. When these means of transport fall short donkeytrails and porters move in.
WFP is operating a relief hub in Ghorka, the epicentre of the first devastating earthquake that hit Nepal on April 25th.
Now the WFP provides logistics services to the wider humanitarian community to help them help the people of Nepal.
DanChurchAid and ACT Alliance are among the many organisations making use of the service.
