The ethical choice

'fisk' really is the place for conscientious shoppers. As well as the fair trade food products we stock, there is a huge range of gifts, homeware, and fashion - all of which have been sourced in line with DanChurchAid’s ethical purchasing policy. This means that all the fair trade goods we sell have been produced and delivered without abuse or exploitation of anyone involved in the supply chain.

DanChurchAid also sells its own brand, 'SKIFt, which is a Fair Trade fashion collection, designed by volunteer designers and made by seamstresses under fair working conditions in one of DanChurchAid's focus countries. 'SKIFt' is put together to make nice design and responsible production come together.

The 2009 SKIFt collection is being made in Guatemala.

Fil Bleu: The SKIFt collection is made in close collaboration with Fil Bleu, an independent project under the association International Contact which ensures fair trade conditions throughout the whole production. Fil Bleu is approved by IFAT the international organisation for fair trade certification.
