DCA hosts the Fabo Learning Community, which began as an internal initiative and grew through collaboration on learning within the ACT Alliance. Today, it brings together a broader network of civil society organisations to share knowledge, create resources and strengthen their collective impact.
It is a learning community and digital platform made for and by more than 30 civil society organisations. A shared learning platform where NGOs design courses, strengthen internal capacity, collaborate across organisations and make expert knowledge accessible to others around the world.

By bringing NGOs together in a shared digital space, Fabo helps strengthen both individual competencies and collective capacity.
Through this collaboration, member organisations can make high-quality learning available to more than 80,000 learners across the world.
By sharing rather than duplicating efforts, members reduce costs, increase quality, and ensure that knowledge reaches the people who can use it to create change.
Whether developing online courses, facilitating peer learning, or experimenting with new learning approaches, Fabo demonstrates how collaboration enables civil society to achieve more together than any organisation could alone.
Free courses for everyone
While the Fabo membership is organisational, many courses developed by Fabo member organisations and subject-matter experts are freely accessible to individual learners worldwide. This means that staff members, volunteers, students and independent practitioners can access high-quality courses in areas such as human rights, humanitarian response and development practice at no cost. This openness reflects a core principle: knowledge created within civil society should not be exclusive.
