
On the 6th of May 2025, 5-7 PM CEST, CONCITO, DanChurchAid & NDC Partnership will host a side-event leading up to the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial.
Climate change is posing serious security risks to people and the planet. Critical infrastructure related to water, food, energy, health, and transport is under threat, and the consequences for societies’ financial stability can be devastating. These are among the challenges ministers will address at the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial. The side event will focus on both challenges and opportunities.

Session 1: Expectations for Copenhagen Climate Ministerial and COP30 – Can linking climate, security and critical infrastructure increase ambition and investments?

- H.E. Alison Campbell, Director of the Climate Action Team, Executive Office of the Secretary-General, United Nations.
- H.E. Sam Koojo, Special representative to the Minister on the Coalition for Finance Ministers for Climate Action and Assistant Commissioner Macroeconomic Policy Uganda.
- H.E. Ole Thonke, Danish Climate Ambassador.
Session 2, part 1: Investing in combatting climate change is imperative to human & planetary security and can be the business opportunity of the 21st Century.
